Ahead of the India vs Bangladesh 2nd Test, Shakib had stated that the Test match against South Africa in Mirpur will be his last and that he’s already played his final T20I game for Bangladesh in the 2024 T20 World Cup. With South Africa confirming the tour in the aftermath of political unrest and violence, it remains to be seen if Shakib al Hasan will participate in the series, given the political implications that will also play a key factor.
“We will absolutely provide the highest level of security for our player. If there are any allegations against anyone, that is a different issue. I cannot comment on that, as it falls under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Law.
