Team India will return to T20 action on Sunday with a three-match series against Bangladesh. Ahead of the first IND vs BAN T20I in Gwalior, India’s young pace brigade, Arshdeep Singh, Mayank Yadav, and Harshit Rana, along with star player Hardik Pandya, had an intense training session. The BCCI shared a video of the pacers sharpening their skills in the nets, focussing on pace bowling.
Fresh faces in T20I series
Fresh from a 2-0 series sweep in the Test format, India’s dominant performance in Kanpur drew praise from fans and cricket pundits. As the focus shifts to the shortest format, attention will turn to top Indian players who were not part of the Test squad. Suryakumar Yadav, who has been India’s key T20I player in recent months, will lead the team. Additionally, all-rounder Hardik Pandya will make his comeback in the series. Along with that, Mayank Yadav and Harshit Rana got an opportunity to make their debut for team India.
Morne Morkel’s feedback for Hardik Pandya
India’s newly appointed bowling coach, Morne Morkel, expressed concerns about Hardik Pandya’s bowling technique, as per a report in the Indian Express. Morkel was reportedly ‘unhappy’ with Pandya’s tendency to bowl too close to the stumps and offered feedback after every delivery. Hardik took the advice positively, and after adjusting his release point, Morkel shifted his attention to the other bowlers in the session.
