IND vs SA, Women’s T20 World Cup Warm-up: India unbeaten in warm-ups, win by 28 runs

ICC Women’s T20 World Cup: The Indian team started the warm-up match vs South Africa poorly, as they lost Shafali Verma and Harmanpreet Kaur cheaply. But soon after that, Jemimah Rodrigues and Smriti Mandhana combined well to score a lot of boundaries. Richa Ghosh and Deepti Sharma paired well to take the team to 144/7.

But the likes of Deepti Sharma, Asha Sobhana kept the SA batters in check as India registered an easy 28-run win.

The final warm-up match of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 will be played between India Women and South Africa Women. Harmanpreet Kaur & Co. will face the Proteas at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai on Tuesday (October 1).

India began their warm-up campaign by defeating the West Indies by 20 runs in their first game. On the other hand, South Africa suffered a heavy defeat against New Zealand in their previous warm-up game. Laura Wolvaardt’s team was bowled out for just 92 runs in 20 overs, and New Zealand chased the target in 14.2 overs, losing only two wickets. Meanwhile, two other teams are also in action in the warm-up matches. Heather Knight’s England will take on New Zealand Women at ICC Academy Ground No. 2, while West Indies Women will face Australia Women at The Sevens Stadium.
