Rohit Sharma praises team efforts

Discussing the strategy, Rohit said, “On the last two days, we focused on finishing strong. The moment we knew we needed 230 runs, it wasn’t just about runs but also the overs we bowled. The pitch didn’t offer much help, but the bowlers did well, and the batters went for quick runs. It was risky, but we took the chance to secure a result.”

Captain Rohit Sharma applauds his team’s efforts and believes in the need to adapt and evolve. “We have to work with different things. Rahul Dravid and I had fantastic moments. We also have to move on with him. Our new coach, Gautam Gambhir, is also experienced and allows players to play their game freely.”

Jasprit Bumrah Reflects on the Victory

Jasprit Bumrah expressed his delight at the team’s performance, stating, “It’s really good to have this win; it’s a really special win. Bowling every day, we won in just two days. You use your experience; you play on different surfaces—this was completely different from Chennai. Communication helps, especially when the conditions are not favorable.”

Bumrah also shared insights into his role in guiding younger bowlers like Akashdeep, saying, “Akashdeep keeps asking me for tips. He gives his absolute best on the field, and whenever he comes into bowl, I’m happy for him.”

On managing his workload, Bumrah added, “After the World Cup, we got a break. It’s important to keep the workload in mind. You know how many overs you have to bowl, and hopefully, I’ll be able to keep the momentum going.”
