Currently, India is at the top of the table with 7 wins in 10 games and just 2 losses, having an amazing percentage of points of 71.67, which hints that India can make it to the third consecutive final.

If we consider two scenarios, if we see a 2-0 result against Bangladesh, then India will need three wins from their remaining eight matches to get into the WTC final once again, the matches being three against New Zealand at home and then five Test matches in Australia. But if we get no result from the second Test against Bangladesh, that complicates things a bit. For India, this is going to be the eligibility scenario, apart from avoiding penalties in points.
