“Kanpur crowd pushed me” – Bangladesh superfan Tiger Robi allegedly taken to hospital after injury

This is the second time Tiger Robi has been allegedly misbehaved with. In Chennai, he claimed that abuses were hurled at him.

Nothing’s going right for Bangladesh in the 2nd Test against India. They are being bullied on and off the field. Rohit Sharma’s Team India have them three down at the Green Park Stadium in less than 30 overs on the ground. Outside it, a Bangladesh superfan who goes by the name of Tiger Robi has alleged that the Kanpur crowd pushed him around and snatched his country’s flag right out of his hand.

He’s suffered some injury due to physical harassment and is being taken to the hospital by the police. The superfan was seen being carried out by the police in their arms, as he looked unconscious. He seemed to be suggesting that he was feeling some discomfort in his ribs or back.

The same fan had previously stated that he’d been harassed by the crown in Chennai. People are taunting me “mauka mauka” every time I walk on the road. Some have abused me as well. I understand a little bit of Hindi, but they are abusing me in Tamil. Some other Bengali fans told me that I was getting abused. Mushfiqur Rahim got me tickets. I am watching the match with a paid ticket. Still, I am not getting the respect,” he’d said on the third day of the first Test.
