Fresh off their match-winning centuries in Chennai, Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill had a light moment in India’s first training session in Kanpur. Amidst all the security concerns at the Green Park, the Rohit Sharma-led side had a 3-hour session to practice on Tuesday. The practice began around 12:00 pm in the evening, with youngsters Sarfaraz Khan, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel hitting the nets firsthand.
Rishabh Pant bowling to Shubman Gill?
According to journalist Vimal Kumar, who has been covering the Indian team throughout the Bangladesh series, both Pant and Gill came to bat later on. While the likes of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma had a brief stay at the nets, Pant and Gill were two of the last ones to hit the nets.
However, in what came as a surprising incident, Vimal divulged that Rishabh Pant bowled leg-spin to Shubman Gill and the two also had some jiggles. With his pads on, the southpaw dished out some leg-breaks to Gill.
