Virat Kohli and Yashasvi Jaiswal were among the first Indian batters to hit the nets ahead of the IND vs BAN 2nd Test in Kanpur

India cricket team stars have arrived in Kanpur for the IND vs BAN 2nd Test and have kick-started the preparations for the game. Rohit Sharma and co. are looking to hand a 2-0 defeat to Bangladesh, having won the 1st Test in Chennai by a mammoth 280-run margin. Ahead of the 2nd Test, batters Virat Kohli, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sarfaraz Khan were the three batters to kick start the net session on Wednesday at the Green Park in Kanpur.

Seasoned veteran Virat Kohli had a poor outing in the 1st Test in Chennai, managing to score just 6 and 17 runs in two innings. Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, on the other hand, played a rescuing act in the 1st innings after stalwarts Kohli & Rohit were dismissed cheaply. He went on to score a half-century and stitched together a crucial partnership with Rishabh Pant to save India on Day 1. However, he only managed to score 10 runs in the 2nd innings.

Both Virat Kohli and Jaiswal will hope to improve their performanc in the 2nd Test. The Test will get underway from September 27. While this is only Kohli’s second Test this year, Jaiswal will hope to carry on his fine form as he gears up for a hectic Test season coming up ahead.
