After picking up Rahul Dravid, Rajasthan Royals have now roped in Vikram Rathour as the batting coach of the side for the upcoming IPL 2025 season. Rathour will re-join Rahul Dravid as the two coaching staff in the IPL franchise team. In a complete coaching overhaul, RR has now opted to go for the former India coaching staff, Rahul Dravid and now Vikram Rathour for IPL 2025.
“Royals Sports Group-owned franchise Rajasthan Royals today announced the appointment of former India opener Vikram Rathour as the team’s Batting Coach,” read the official statement of Rajasthan Royals.
Vikram Rathour joins Rajasthan Royals
It is now a homecoming for Vikram Rathour. The former India international has dedicatedly served as the batting coach of the Indian Cricket Team for the past 4 years, from 2019 to 2023. And now with Gautam Gambhir era starting, he has re-joined Rahul Dravid and will be coaching the players for the Rajasthan Royals for the upcoming edition of IPL 2025.
Vikram Rathour is a highly abled coach. Under his tenure, Indian batters have flourished across all three formats of the game. It is important to note that some of the key youngsters in the team like Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal has risen through the ranks under his tutelage in the National Team setup.
