Place up for grabs for young pacers? Bumrah & Siraj to be rested for IND vs BAN T20Is

Workload management kicks in as Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj likely to be rested for IND vs BAN T20Is as IND vs NZ Test looms large

India Cricket Team has turned their attention to World Test Championship (WTC). With Team India ready to play 10 Test matches which means that workload management would come into action. This means that ace pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj are slated to be rested for the three-match IND vs BAN T20Is. This means that there will be spots open for young pacers to get their chance in the team.

Like Shubman Gill who is slated to be rested, the same can be said for Bumrah and Siraj as well. India will play 2 Test matches against Bangladesh. Following which they will play 3 T20I matches which is slated to commence from 7th October.

Workload for ace pacers in IND vs BAN T20I

India currently tops the standings in the WTC Standings. This means that India’s prime focus will not be T20Is. As a result, it will provide a good opportunity for the young pacers to fight for their chance in the team. Following the IND vs BAN Tests, the main players in the team would be rested for a three-Test series against IND vs NZ Tests.

And for this reason, along with Shubman Gill, two other key players like Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj are likely to be rested. Furthermore, there are also doubts whether Rishabh Pant too would play in the T20Is. This can pave way for Ishan Kishan to make a comeback for the southpaw into the India Cricket Team setup.

In terms of the pace bowling options, Arshdeep Singh and Khaleel Ahmed are the among the top choices to replace Siraj and Bumrah for the shortest format of the game.
