Jay Shah, the current BCCI Secretary and incoming ICC Chairman, is instrumental in reviving the Afro-Asia Cup. PCB bias for the Champions Trophy?

The Pakistan women’s cricket team is feeling neglected by PCB as they prepare for the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup 2024. The team is not receiving a daily wage allowance during their current camp in Multan. This situation is especially shocking given the PCB’s focus on preparing for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which seems to overshadow the needs of the women’s side. While the women’s team is receiving accommodation and meals, the absence of wages is a significant blow. PCB, meanwhile, is busy allocating Rs 385 crore to rebuild Pakistan Stadiums.

The competition was a nail-biting affair, with Chopra responding to Peters’ dominant first throw (87.87m) with a solid 86.82m. While his third attempt brought him close to victory, it wasn’t enough to dethrone Peters. Germany’s Julian Weber finished third with a best of 85.97m.
