Who are India’s net bowlers for IND vs BAN 1st Test in Chennai?

India gears up for the first Test against Bangladesh in Chennai, preparing with a mix of top domestic spinners and pacers.

The Indian cricket team is all set to begin their Test season with a two-match series against Bangladesh. The Men in Blue will face the Bengal Tigers at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium from September 19th. The Indian players have already started practising for this clash, with a session held at the MA Chidambaram ‘B’ ground on Friday.

According to some reports, the match will be played on a bouncy red-soil surface. This pitch will offer pacers extra bounce while also providing good spin for the bowlers. Keeping that in mind, the Indian team is putting in intense practice with a variety of net bowlers, ranging from spinners to pacers.

Which spinners are in the nets for IND vs BAN?

Apart from Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel, the Indian camp has Tamil Nadu’s S Ajith Ram, M Siddharth, and P Vignesh (all slow left-arm orthodox bowlers). In the off-spinner’s department, apart from R Ashwin, the batsmen are facing Tamil Nadu’s Lakshay Jain and Mumbai’s Ashwin-clone Himanshu Singh.

Which fast bowlers are in the nets?

In addition to India’s frontline pacers, bowlers like Arpit Guleria, Gurnoor Brar, Yudhvir Singh, Vaibhav Arora, Simarjeet Singh, and Gurjapneet Singh have been used as net bowlers.

Why are Indian batters preparing for spin?

This time, Bangladesh boasts a core spin trio of Shakib Al Hasan, Taijul Islam, and Mehidy Hasan Miraz. The Indian team views them as a serious threat, as this trio recently outclassed Pakistan 2-0 on their home soil. Additionally, India’s batters have struggled against spin, as seen in their recent series against Sri Lanka, where the Lankan spinners troubled them significantly.
