Navdeep Singh captured the spotlight with his cheerful nature. PM Modi even signed an autograph on the gold medalist’s throwing arm.
The heartfelt moment came when the Prime Minister sat on the floor and received a gift from this star as Navdeep placed a cap on his head. PM Modi humorously asked Navdeep if he felt taller now, saying, “Lag raha na tum mujhse bade ho na?” (Do you feel taller than me now?)
How Navdeep Singh won gold at Paralympics games 2024
The 23-year-old is currently the talk of the town due to his impressive performance in the dramatic Paralympics javelin throw finals. With a throw of 47.32 meters, he secured a silver medal, while Iran’s Beit Sadegh, who threw 47.64 meters, initially clinched the gold. However, Sadegh was later disqualified for unsporting conduct, leading to Navdeep’s silver medal being upgraded to gold.
