India’s javelin throw sensation, Neeraj Chopra, again made his mark at the Lausanne Diamond League 2024. Following his silver-medal finish at the Paris Olympics, Chopra again redeemed himself and secure a spot in this prestigious competition.
Neeraj Chopra secured second place in the Lausanne Diamond League with a best throw of 89.49m on Friday. Anderson Peters from Grenada claimed the top spot with a huge final throw of 90.61m. Chopra mostly threw in the 83m range throughout the night, but two crucial throws in his fifth and sixth attempts guaranteed his continued record of finishing in the top two in international tournaments.
After a two-month break, the Diamond League final will be held in Brussels, Belgium, on 13-14 September.
