Indian wrestler Aman Sehrawat has climbed to the second spot in the men’s 57 kg UWW rankings. Before heading into the Paris Olympics, Aman was ranked sixth. However, in the latest rankings released on Sunday, he jumped four positions.
Sehrawat recently secured a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics 2024, defeating Darian Cruz of Puerto Rico. His medal was the only one India won in wrestling at the Paris Games. Aman now holds the second position with 51,600 points.

Since the age of 11, Aman has been training at Delhi’s Chhatrasal Stadium, where he has been pursuing wrestling with dedication.
Aman’s success on the Olympic stage is the result of years of hard work. In 2022, after winning gold at the Under-23 Asian Championships, he became the first Indian to clinch a gold medal at the Under-23 World Championships. He continued to shine at various Grand Prix events, winning 2 golds, 2 silvers, and a bronze. His breakthrough moment came at the 2023 Asian Games, where he earned a bronze medal.
