New Team India schedule!
BCCI has revised India’s home cricket schedule. The opening T20I against Bangladesh, initially planned for Dharamsala, is now shifted to Gwalior due to stadium renovations. This will be Gwalior’s first international match since witnessing Tendulkar’s iconic 200. Additionally, the first two T20Is against England (2025) have swapped venues: Chennai replaces Kolkata and vice versa.
Gautam Gambhir = Jason Gillespie?
Ricky Ponting has drawn a parallel between India head coach Gautam Gambhir and Pakistan Test coach Jason Gillespie. Ponting noted that both are “deep thinkers” who achieve success in their own way. Ishan Kishan to lead Jharkhand
Ishan Kishan is back. The out-of-favor wicketkeeper-batter will captain Jharkhand in the Buchi Babu tournament, marking his return to domestic cricket. Initially absent from the squad, Kishan expressed interest and was included. This is a crucial step in his comeback journey after missing out on BCCI’s central contract. Kishan first demanded rest from national team due to mental fatigue as well.

Another delay for Vinesh Phogat?
Vinesh Phogat’s Olympic silver medal hopes hang in the balance. Disqualified from the gold medal match for being ‘100 grams’ overweight, she appealed to CAS for a joint silver. The verdict, initially expected on August 7, has been delayed multiple times, with the latest decision date set for August 16. Phogat argues she made weight the previous day and defeated top contenders, deserving at least a silver medal.
SKY-Iyer to play Buchi Babu
