The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is unsure about the attendance for the upcoming Test series between Pakistan and Bangladesh. Hosting a Test series at home after 16 months, the PCB isn’t certain whether fans will come in large numbers to watch Shan Masood and co. face Bangladesh.
PCB fears empty crowds
The fear of empty stands has seen the price of the tickets for the Pakistan vs Bangladesh 2nd Test in Karachi drop to just INR 15 (PKR 50). The National Stadium has developed a notorious image. During the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024 editions, we saw empty stands at the venue throughout the competition. Fans didn’t even come for Eliminator or the Final, and many, including Pakistani great Wasim Akram, had lamented about it.
Fearing that it’d happen again, the tickets for the second Test start at 15 INR for the Wasim Bari enclosure. If a fan wants to watch cricket for a full five days, they can even get a 5-day pass for just INR 72 (PKR 215). Meanwhile, the costliest ticket is priced at INR 83,333 (PKR 250,000) in the full hospitality box.
For those who wish to buy tickets online, they’ll have to visit PCB.tcs.com.pk, with the tickets on sale starting August 13 at 5 PM PST. The sale of physical tickets will start on August 16 at 9 AM PST at 16 different outlets.
