Ace Indian javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra fell short of a gold medal at the finals of the javelin throw event in the Paris Olympics. That did not stop Chopra from being the second best as he secured a silver medal, adding another feather to his cap after a gold medal in the Tokyo Olympics. Neeraj Chopra’s mother was on cloud nine after the star’s victory, revealing that Neeraj participated in the Olympics despite being injured.

We are very happy, for us silver is also equal to gold. He was injured, so we are happy with his performance,” Saroj Devi, Neeraj Chopra’s mother, said after his silver medal finish. She also promised to cook his favourite meal on his return to India. She also expressed happiness over Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem securing the gold medal in the contest and congratulated the star.
