Who is Arshad Nadeem, Pakistani javelin thrower who broke the Olympic record?

With a monumental throw of 92.97 meters at the Paris 2024 Olympics, Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem has shattered all records. But who is he? know more about this superstar

One of the finest and best Pakistani athletes, Arshad Nadeem, recently broke the Olympic record with a throw of 92.97 meters. He surpassed the previous record of 90.57 meters set by Norway’s Andreas Thorkildsen at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. This achievement brought him into the limelight, especially after a decent performance at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Nadeem is the first Pakistani to make it to the final of any track and field event at the Olympic Games and the World Athletics Championships.

Who is Arshad Nadeem

Coming from a humble background, Arshad Nadeem began his javelin-throwing career in 2015. Initially interested in cricket, he caught the attention of Rasheed Ahmad Saqi during an athletics competition. In 2016, World Athletics awarded him a scholarship, allowing him to train at the IAAF High Performance Training Centre in Mauritius. Since then, there has been no looking back. While Arshad continues to excel, Neeraj Chopra is also making headlines with his impressive performances in the ongoing Paris 2024 Olympic javelin throw final.
