India’s Manu Bhaker was so close, yet so far to a third Olympic medal at the Paris Games. The 22-year-old finished fourth in the women’s 25-meter pistol final, missing the bronze medal by a whisker. In a fiercely contested final, Manu managed to be in the top 5 but lost out in the shoot-off to Hungary’s Veronika Major for the bronze medal. As she makes her exit from the Paris Olympics, let us take a look at all Manu Bhaker’s records made in the mega event.

List of Manu Bhaker records

Bhaker became the first Indian woman to win an Olympic medal in shooting by winning the 10m air pistol individual bronze.

Bhaker became the first Indian athlete post-Independence to win two medals in the same edition of the Olympics.

Bhaker and Sarabjot won India’s sixth Olympic medal in shooting, and the first ever in a team event.

Bhaker became the fourth Indian athlete to win multiple medals in the Olympics after Pritchard (athletics), Sushil Kumar (wrestling), and PV Sindhu (Badminton).
