India women’s team will face Sri Lanka in the final of the Women’s Asia Cup 2024. This marks the ninth time India has reached the tournament’s final. With seven titles already in their bag, India have only lost one final, in 2018, against Bangladesh.

The Women’s Asia Cup has changed since it began in 2004 as a two-team competition and continued as a 50-over format until 2008. The event, now in its ninth edition, consists of eight teams split into two groups of four players each. All the matches were held in Dambulla.

With 1127 runs, former Indian captain Mithali Raj holds the record for most runs in the competition.
