Paris Olympics day 2 schedule: Manu Bhaker eyes medal, PV Sindhu and Manika Batra in action

India will be competing in 7 sports on Day 2 of the Paris Olympics. Manu Bhaker will be participating in the medal event.

After experiencing a day of mixed emotions at the Paris Olympics 2024, the Indian contingent is all set to give their best on day two of the grand event.

The Indian 10m air rifle mixed team did not make it to the finals. However, the good news is that India’s ace shooter Manu Bhaker qualified for the final of the women’s 10m air pistol event after finishing third in the qualification round with a score of 580.

On the second day (July 28), India will compete in shooting, badminton, table tennis, boxing, and archery. Let’s take a look at the schedule of Indian players on July 28.

Shooting

Elavenil Valarivan and Ramita Jindal will compete in the women’s 10m air rifle event at 12:45 pm. This will be a qualification round match.

Sandeep Singh and Arjun Babuta will participate in the men’s 10m air rifle qualification round at 2:45 pm. If the team performs well, these players will compete for medals.

Badminton

PV Sindhu will aim to win her third consecutive Olympic medal. She will play against Fatimath Nabaha Abdul Razzaq of the Maldives at 12:50 pm in Group M of the women’s singles. In the men’s singles event, HS Prannoy will face Fabian Roth of Germany at 5:30 pm in Group K of the men’s singles. Both matches are not medal events.

Table Tennis

Indian players will participate in three matches in table tennis. First, Sreeja Akula will face Christina Colberg of Sweden at 2:15 pm in the women’s round of 64 match. After this, Sharath Kamal will play against Dani Kozul of Slovenia at 3 pm in a round of 64 match. At 4:30 pm, Manika Batra will face Wales’ Anna Hersey in another round of 64 matches.

Boxing

In boxing, Nikhat Zareen will compete against Germany’s Maxi Carina Kloetzer in the 50 kg category at 3:50 pm. This will be a Round of 32 match.

Swimming

Playing his scored Olympics, India’s swimmer Srihari Natraj will compete in the 100m Backstroke Heats and India’s youngest player in the contingent 14-year-old Dhinidhi Desinghu will compete in the 200m freestyle heats.

Archery

In archery, the Indian women’s team will play the quarterfinal match at 5:45 pm.
