USA Cricket directors file complain to ICC for sabotage against chairman Venu Pisike

Tipping point reached! USA Cricket directors complain to ICC against USAC chairman for corruption

The internal troubles in USA Cricket continues to rock the world. Three USA Cricket (USAC) directors have now written complains to the ICC alleging harassment and corruption by chairman Venu Pisike. Currently USA is under the scanner for their extravagant expenditure in T20 World Cup.

Currently, the ICC’s AGM continues in Colombo and is slated to conclude on 22nd July. In the meantime, the three Kuljit Singh, Arjun Gona and Patricia Whittaker have wrote a blasting email to the ICC about the chairman Venu Pisike. The email also mentioned about how unethically CEO Dr. Noor Murad was fired from the body.

Furthermore, the other charges levied on the chairman include creating a toxic workplace and how the body was sabotaged. “We, as minority members, are being cornered and pressured to step down, with veiled threats suggesting that more aggressive measures could be taken against us if we do not comply,” read the contents of the email.

Corruption in USA Cricket

After the conclusion of the T20 World Cup, senior ICC members resigned for lavishly spending in USA. The ICC failed to recuperate the costs from ticket sales. As a result an investigation and audit is currently underway in the ICC. While problems have been persistent in USAC, the tipping point was reached when three directors wrote about corruption to the ICC.

“This systemic corruption and unethical behaviour clearly indicates that they are manipulating the system to secure their future positions on the board, with little regard for promoting diversity or expanding membership,” read the email.
