Seven-time Asia Cup winner India women's cricket team, is all set to clash with the Pakistan women's team, who are looking for their first silverware.

India’s women’s cricket team is all set to kick-start their Asia Cup campaign. The match is scheduled to take place in Dambulla, Sri Lanka, against archrivals Pakistan on July 19. The tournament is expected to feature lots of exciting games with eight teams, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Thailand, UAE, Nepal, and Malaysia competing for the silverware.

First started in 2004, this prestigious women’s cricket tournament have seen various female cricketers from Asia become legends. India has won the Women’s Asia Cup a record seven times. India team will be led by Harmanpreet Kaur, with Smriti Mandhana as her deputy. Whereas on the other hand, Pakistan have selected Nida Dar to captain the Women in Green.

There is good news for all cricket fans in Asia, as Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has decided that there will be free entry for spectators looking to attend the IND vs PAK Asia Cup match. Not only this game, but all matches of the tournament will be free for visiting spectators.

How many matches are there in Women’s Asia Cup 2024?

A total of 15 matches will be played, including two semifinals and the final. With all matches taking place in Dambulla. ‘All the games will be broadcast live across international platforms, and the stadium will be open to the public for free to witness the games,’ stated the media release.
