Not surprisingly, Team India has an incredible record when playing Zimbabwe head-to-head. India have won eight games and only lost three of the 11 T20Is. Prior to the first T20I of the series, India had only two losses, in 2015 and 2016. In the current series too, India have had the upper hand after the shock defeat in the 1st T20I.

India vs Zimbabwe Team News

India made as many as three changes in the IND vs ZIM 3rd T20I with Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube coming in in place of Sai Sudharsan, Riyan Parag and Dhruv Jurel. However, the selection of four openers raised questions on India’s intention, with Abhishek Sharma demoted to number 3 and Ruturaj Gaikwad batting at number 4.

The lack of middle-order batters could see Riyan Parag return to the playing XI in the 4th T20I, with Abhishek Sharma likely to make way in spite of the brilliant century in the 2nd T20I. In the bowling front, India rested Khaleel Ahmed for the 2nd T20I and Mukesh Kumar for the 3rd T20I. Going by the trend, Avesh Khan will likely be benched for the 4th match.

The Zimbabwe unit are looking for the perfect balance in their team for the series. Captain Sikander Raza has not been able to get going so far in the series, but Zimbabwe are unlikely to tinker with their playing XI as they look to keep the series alive.
