Spain’s young left winger Lamine Yamal has registered his name in the history book. The 16-year old Barcelona forward has become the youngster footballer ever to score in the European Championships. The youngster scored a stunning goal to bring Spain back on level terms after Espana went down against France.
Spain needed a miracle after Kolo Muani gave his side a much deserved lead in the 9th minute of the game. However, in the 21st minute of the game, Spain snitched an attack down the right flank. Lamine Yamal, drifted inside getting past the French defenders to unleash a lethal curler.
The ball went past an outstretched Mike Maignan, to hit the inside of the bar and smash the nets. And with his goal, just 3 days before his 17th birthday, Lamal is now the youngest player to score in the European Championships.

Prior to Lamal, the record for the youngest goal scorer was held by Switzerland’s Johan Vonlanthen at an age of 18 years and 141 days. England’s former captain and ace striker Wayne Rooney is third on the list. The ever great, Cristiano Ronaldo is 7th after having scorer at an age of 19 years and 127 days.
