India’s long jump athlete, Jeswin Aldrin, has finally qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympics through the World Athletics ranking system. Aldrin’s selection came due to the withdrawal of fellow long jumper Murali Sreeshankar, who had to pull out because of a knee injury sustained during a practice session. It is worth noting that it was already speculated that Aldrin would get the Olympic ticket. He is currently ranked 33rd and is now all set to represent India at the Paris Olympics 2024.
Apart from him, Parul Choudhary, who is the only woman to qualify for the 3000m steeplechase, has finally got someone to accompany her as Ankita, who is currently ranked 96th, will compete in the women’s 5000m steeplechase along with Parul.
