They then moved to Mumbai, where a victory parade was organized for them. Lakhs of people celebrated with Team India on the streets, and then they went to Wankhede Stadium, where Jasprit Bumrah, Rahul Dravid, Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kohli spoke about their triumph. In the meantime, the PCB couldn’t stay quiet with BCCI enjoying a moment, and their chief dropped a bombshell statement regarding the Champions Trophy.

Life goals ft. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli

Winning a World Cup together was on the bucket list for Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. The biggest cricket stars in the world have won one World Cup each, but never together. After playing for nearly two decades together, that dream has finally been fulfilled. Kohli described the moment when the duo achieved what they wanted for so long as a ‘special memory‘.

Argentina, no match for India

Lionel Messi’s Argentina won the 2022 FIFA World Cup, and the whole nation celebrated together. Hundreds of thousands of fans gathered in Buenos Aires for a fiesta. That incredible moment was not only recreated but also trumped by Team India’s T20 World Cup victory celebrations in Mumbai, where there were fans as many as there are grains of sand on a beach.

Jasprit Bumrah a National Treasure: Kohli

India’s ‘Player of the Match’ of the T20 World Cup Final, Virat Kohli, feels that it wasn’t him who won the team the match on June 29, but Jasprit Bumrah. He stated that the pacer saved them not only against South Africa but multiple times prior and hailed him as a ‘national treasure’ and ‘once-in-a-generation player‘. 

Rohit Sharma’s 2nd child

Love everything, like the Indian captain loves the T20 World Cup trophy. Rohit has been chasing that elusive World Cup trophy ever since he won the inaugural T20 World Cup as a 20-year-old, and now that he’s got it, he’s going to treat it like his child. He was spotted cleaning the trophy diligently soon after he landed in Delhi.

India going to Pakistan for Champions Trophy?

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chief, Mohsin Naqvi, has stated that “the Champions Trophy 2025 will only be played in Pakistan.” Six of the seven teams that are bound to travel to Pakistan for the event have confirmed their presence, but India has yet to send their seal of approval. But the PCB Chief isn’t willing to take ‘no’ as an answer from BCCI.

PM Modi’s breakfast with champions

Fatigued from a 16-hour flight, the Indian cricket team, on a high from their T20 World Cup victory, made way to Delhi to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Indian team, along with head coach Rahul Dravid, were hosted for breakfast at the 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, where they spent a couple of hours chatting with the PM.
