The International Cricket Council (ICC) revealed the nominees for the ICC Men’s Player of the Month on Thursday. Indian stars of the T20 World Cup, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah, were mentioned in the list. Afghanistan’s player, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, has also been named for his outstanding performance in the T20 World Cup.
Rohit-Jasprit in race for Player of the Month
Indian captain Rohit Sharma was the second-highest run-scorer in the tournament, amassing 57 runs. He achieved this at an average of 36.71 and a strike rate of 156.7.
Jasprit Bumrah’s brilliant spell in the final of the T20 World Cup was instrumental in India’s comeback and eventual victory. Bumrah has taken 15 wickets at an average of 8.26, with an economy rate of just 4.17.
