India’s medal contenders in Paris Olympics

India has talented and potential athletes who could win medals for the country in the upcoming Paris Olympics in 2024.

India aim to make the Paris 2024 Olympics their most successful yet, building on their improved performance in various sports over the past years. Following a recent victory in cricket, fans are hopeful for similar achievements from the nation’s athletes at the upcoming Summer Olympic Games.

As Paris gears up to host this grand event, Indian athletes, currently training abroad, are finalizing their preparations and will soon head to the 2024 Olympic Village. Among them, five standout athletes are strong contenders for medals, and all eyes in India will be on their performances.

Medal contenders in Olympics 2024

Neeraj Chopra (Javelin)

Neeraj Chopra is the foremost athlete on whom Indians are placing their hopes for a gold medal. Since 2020, Chopra has been rigorously preparing for the upcoming event. Currently in fine form and peak physical condition, he is poised to clinch the medal and stand proudly on the podium as the Indian national anthem plays in the background.

PV Sindhu (Badminton)

PV Sindhu aims to make history and establish herself as the best female athlete India has ever produced. Having won two medals in past Olympics, Sindhu now seeks to secure her third.

Aditi Ashok (Golf)

Aditi Ashok was very close to winning a medal at the Tokyo Olympics. She finished 4th in the previous edition and is now determined to win this time to etch her name in history as the first Indian to win a medal in golf.

Mirabai Chanu (Weightlifting)

A former champion and Tokyo Olympic medalist, Mirabai Chanu is aiming for her second consecutive medal. She has set her sights on a total lift of 200-210 kg, with a goal of lifting 90 kg in the snatch.

Nikhat Zareen (Boxing)

World champion Nikhat Zareen is training hard to win a medal. She is determined not to settle for anything less than gold in the upcoming event, making her the main contender in the race for an Olympic medal. She will compete in the 50kg category.
