Pakistan cricket team is never out of news. After their early exit from the T20 World Cup 2024, a lot of changes are expected in the Pakistani side, and there are rumors, that Babar Azam might not be the skipper anymore. Plus, there are talks about demotion of top players in PCB’s contact list, over non-performance.
Keeping all that aside, the Pakistan players might just end up earning a big, fat pay cheque. As per a report in Pakistan Observer, each player stands to get PKR 16,74,336 in match fees, and also an allowance of PKR 550,000. The Pakistan Cricket team is also to get a prize money of PKR 7 crore from the ICC, that would mean around PKR 43 lakh for each player.
As for the two victories posted in the tournament, the players will also get PKR 17.5 million, that means PKR 11 lakh per player. That is just one part of the earning though. As per PCB’s 2023-23 central contracts, the players are likely to get a 3% share of the ICC earnings as well.

For now, the top Pakistani players in the Category A draw a salary of PKR 60 lakh per month. So that means, on an average a player in the bracket of Babar Azam or Shaheen Aridi would end up earning close to PKR eight million despite a poor T20 World Cup 2024, even when they lost to USA.
