India, South Africa reach Barbados as T20 World Cup final stage heats up

South Africa had to wait for 6 hours in Trinidad before catching their flight to Barbados because of a small private aircraft's landing attempt going wrong at the Grantley Adams airport in Barbados.

It’s a touchdown! The stage is set, and the warriors have arrived. India booked their T20 World Cup final spot against South Africa with a dominating 68-run victory over England. India immediately left Guyana after the match and have reached Barbados without any major incident. Their opponents South Africa, who were stranded in Trinidad, have also reached ground zero after a 6-hour delay.

South Africa’s long wait

The South African team along with their families, commentators, match officials, and ICC officials were left stranded at the Trinidad airport due to a small private aircraft’s landing attempt going wrong at the Grantley Adams airport in Barbados. The Civil Aviation Authority and the Barbados Police Service closed the airport in Barbados so they could conduct inspections.

India in comparison did not have to get in so much trouble. After defeating England, they reached their destination fairly easily.
