West Indies speedster Kemar Roach has been ruled out of team’s tour to England in the next month. West Indies play a three-match Test series with England starting next month.
Big blow for Windies
Roach suffered a knee injury during the ongoing County Championship, according to Cricket West Indies. Roach will therefore miss the three Test matches that are slated to take place in England. Uncapped seamer Jeremiah Louis from Saint Kitts has replaced the veteran pacer in the15-member squad.
Roach, who has already participated in six games this season, was under contract with Surrey. His proficiency and familiarity with English conditions will be greatly missed by the Caribbean team. Roach averaged 25.77 and claimed 18 wickets in six games for Surrey, including a game-winning 6-for-46 performance against Warwickshire in his most recent outing.

In addition to Louis, it has been confirmed by Cricket West Indies that Isai Thorne, a 19-year-old fast bowler from Guyana, will also be a development player in the team.
