Nitish Reddy’s dream of an international debut will have to wait as an injury has ruled him out of the upcoming India tour of Zimbabwe. Shivam Dube has been named as his replacement for the five-match T20I series scheduled to start in Harare from July 6, 2024.
Nitish Kumar nursing an injury, Shivam Dube now in squad
The BCCI medical team is currently monitoring Reddy’s progress, but the extent of the injury is not yet public. This is a setback for the young player, who was hoping to make his mark on the international stage after a memorable IPL 2024 stint with SRH. Shivam Dube, on the other hand, gets another chance to impress after being included in the squad. Dube is already with the Indian team at the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024, which makes him a convenient replacement for this series.
