Buttler admitted that they were playing a different India this time and warned his teammates that the team led by Rohit was more aggressive naturally. What happened in IND vs ENG T20 WC 2022 semis clash?

India were absolutely crushed by England in the semi-final on November 10, 2022, with Buttler leading his side to a 10-wicket win at the Adelaide Oval in Australia. Batting first, India lost opener KL Rahul early in the innings, while fellow opener Rohit Sharma managed to score only 27 runs. Big match player Virat Kohli smashed a half-century, leading India’s fight back. A 63-run cameo from all-rounder Hardik Pandya guided India to a formidable total of 168 runs.

However, the Men in Blue were in for a rude shock as the England openers managed to chase down the target in just 16 overs without losing a wicket. Jos Buttler (80) and Alex Hales (86) took all the Indian bowlers to the cleaners, smashing them all around the park.

Neither the pacer trio of Shami-Arshdeep-Bhuvneshwar nor the duo of Axar-Ashwin could find any breakthrough for India. The red-faced loss marked the end of the road for India in the marquee tournament.
