Pakistan cricket team skipper Babar Azam landed back home following the side’s exit from the group stage of the T20 World Cup. Babar and co. managed to win just two games in the group stage and were sent packing after India and USA secure their spots in Super 8. Azam, along with five other players, had delayed his return to his home, on account of wanting to spend some time with his family.
Babar Azam arrives in Pakistan after T20 WC failure
Following Pakistan’s exit from the T20 WC, speculations are rife about the future of the team, skipper Babar Azam, the management and the Pakistan Cricket Board. Some reports suggest that the board is likely to dissolve the selection committee. Skipper Babar Azam has also hinted about the changes that are expected as he mentioned that the call on captaincy would be taken by the PCB in the future.

Pakistan started off their T20 World Cup campaign on an awful note, suffering a shock defeat at the hands of the USA in their very first game. To make matters worse, Babar Azam and co. let victory slip out of their hands in the game against arch-rivals India.
PAK managed to finally get a win against Canada but it came too late in the tournament. Their last game against IRE was called off due to rain, thus bringing an end to their T20 WC campaign.
