Chasing 113 runs, the Bangladesh batting order collapsed like a pack of cards, with only opener Litton Das playing the role of a lone warrior. Despite the game being stopped multiple times due to rain and the target being revised, Shanto and co. were unable to capitalize on the situation.
The opener stayed unbeaten on 52 runs at the end of the game as Bangladesh faced an heartbreaking exit from the tournament. Afghanistan bowlers dominated the proceedings from ball number one and never let the batters settle. Rashid Khan and Naveen-ul-Haq picked up four wickets each to decimate the Tigers.
