Second Best in Asia: Fans rejoice as Afghanistan enters T20 World Cup Semi finals

Rashid Khan and Co. completed a famous win in the recently completed Afghanistan vs Bangladesh match to enter T20 World Cup semi finals.

History has been made as Afghanistan are through to the T20 World Cup semi finals after they clinched a low scoring thriller in the recently completed Bangladesh vs Afghanistan match played on June 25 (Tuesday). Defending 114 in 19 overs, Afghani bowlers showed their best on the field as they won the match by 8 runs to reach the T20 World Cup semi finals. Check out some reactions:

Rashid Khan won the toss, elected to bat first and posted 115/5 on a slow and sluggish surface with Rahmanullah Gurbaz scoring 43 in 55 balls and Rashid with an unbeaten cameo of 19 in 10 deliveries.

Bangladesh had to chase the total in 12.1 overs to move through the next stage but they lost wickets at regular interval with opener Tanzid Hasan falling in the 2nd over to Fazalhaq Farooqi and Naveen-ul-Haq then removing Najmul Hossain Shanto and Shakib Al Hasan on successive deliveries in the very next over.

Litton Das slowly kept scoring from one end as wickets kept falling. He added 25 for the 4th wicket with Soumya Sarkar, the biggest partnership of the innings. Only Sarkar and Towhid Hridoy reached double figures as Rashid and Naveen ran through the Afghanistan lineup.

Litton scored an important unbeaten 54 in 49 balls keeping Bangladesh and Australia in the hunt but there was no support whatsoever from any other batter.
