The India Cricket Team took a satisfying revenge of November 19th. The Men in Blue defeated Australia by 24 runs in the T20 World Cup Super 8 clash to secure their spot in the semis. On the other hand, the BCCI has announced the India squad led by Shubman Gill that will tour Zimbabwe for a 5 match T20I series. After a gap of 72 hours, the AIFF has now hit back at Igor Stimac for his fiery comments against the apex body of the country.

Team India secure T20 World Cup semis berth

The Indian Cricket Team have officially secured their place in the semi finals of the ICC T20 World Cup. The Men in Blue will now lock horns with England in the second semis. Rohit Sharma and Co went on to beat Australia by 24 runs. And now with this result, India won their 3rd consecutive match in Super 8 to seal their spot in the next stage of the tournament.

Rohit outclasses Australia, Kohli falters!

There was stark contrast in the performances of two of India’s ace batters. While Virat Kohli registered another duck, it was Rohit Sharma who led from the front. Kohli’ poor form in T20 World Cup continues as he departed for yet another duck in the IND vs AUS clash. But Rohit Sharma’s stunning knock of 92 runs kept India in the game. The Hitman victimized the Australian bowlers as he continued to unleash his carnage on the opposition.

BCCI announce squad for IND vs ZIM T20 series

While the Men in Blue continue to flourish in the T20 World Cup, the BCCI has announced the squad for the IND vs ZIM T20 series. Shubman Gill will be leading the squad. However, in the pack of youngster, there are quite a few debutants like Nitish Reddy, Riyan Parag, Abhishek Sharma and others who get their chance to shine after impressive IPL 2024 stints.

3 way fight for second semis spot!

The race for the T20 World Cup semis spot continues. After India beating Australia, Group 1 remains fairly open. Australia, Afghanistan and Bangladesh have equal chances of making it to the next stage. A win for Afghanistan will be enough for the Pathans. For Bangladesh, they need to beat Afghans by more than 61 runs. And for Australia to qualify, they need to hope for Bangladesh to beat Afghanistan by less than 61 runs.

AIFF hits back at Igor Stimac!

The All India Football Federation have now hit back at Igor Stimac. The apex body of the country has claimed that they have made the right decision to terminate Stimac’s contract. In a reply to all the fiery statements made by the former India head coach last week, AIFF has now put forward their statement. It is safe to say that AIFF vs Igor Stimac war is just getting started.

Croatia & Italy share spoils, Spain pip past Albania!

Spain continued their fine run of form. A Ferran Torres goal in the 13th minute of the game, ensured that La Roja pipped past Albania and now have 9 points under their belt. On the other hand, Italy crushed hopes for Croatia. Croatia got an early lead but in the dying minutes of the game Italy equalized to make it 1-1, to share the spoils. And with this draw, Italy have retaken the second spot as Croatia now languish at the third spot.
