The IND vs AUS Super 8 match is scheduled to take place on Monday, in a few hours from now, and one of the biggest talking points of course, is the weather in St. Lucia. Well, the signs don’t look great, but still, India has a match to win, and seal their spot in the semis. One of the things that Rohit Sharma & Co. will have to get right, is their playing XI.
While there were a lot of talks during the USA leg, that the pitches in West Indies will aid the spinners, it might not be entirely true. And Rahul Dravid might stick with the same winning combination — where three spinners — Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel operate, as confirmed by bowling coach Paras Mhambrey.
“It all depends on what surface – I hope the surface won’t be that spinner friendly I think going in yes three spinners, I think just add the balance but I’m not very sure all the other venues – in case, I’m saying I don’t look like the surface is going to be that dry and going to turn so much but yeah if the surface is like that, there’s a lot of wear and tear in the wicket yeah for a spinner if you think that’s the best option you want to go and enter the game, you might as well go with it,” he said.
