Kuldeep Yadav is a calm individual on the field. Even when the left-arm wrist spinner is amped up, he rarely, if ever, engages with the batters. However, in the India vs Bangladesh match, Kuldeep was fired up. Having already bowled a miserly first over, Kuldeep returned, and then things got heated between him and Tanzid Hasan.
Kuldeep Yadav trades blows with Tanzid Hasan
Defending 197 at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, the India cricket team was in front with 131 runs in 63 balls. But in T20 cricket, no team is ever out of the contest. On the fourth ball of his second over, the wrist spinner bamboozled Bangladesh’s opener batter with a googly that spun back in sharp, and the umpire raised his finger in a jiffy.
Celebrating the wicket, Kuldeep raised his index finger and kept on walking towards Tanzid. The southpaw wasn’t impressed but stayed mum. He quickly sent the decision upstairs, feeling that the decision could be overturned.
But that wasn’t to be. Soon, both were trading verbal blows as Tanzid wasn’t impressed by how Kuldeep acted. In fairness, until that point, no Bangladeshi batter had said anything to any Indian bowler or fielder, and so Tanzid wasn’t pleased with the sendoff he received.
