Sturdy start by Canada

Although Argentina enjoyed possession, most of it were restricted to side or backward passes in the first 45 minutes.
Argentina’s counter-strategy leave Canada bewildered
Argentina got wind of Canada’s plan and changed their tactics in the second half. Lionel Messi started dropping a bit deep and that changed the flow of the game. Julian Alvarez broke the deadlock in the 49th minute when his right-footed shot from the six yard box found the back of the net.
