The upcoming Major League Cricket (MLC) 2024 season has seen a last-minute change for the Chennai Super Kings’ sister franchise Texas Super Kings (TSK). New Zealand all-rounder Daryl Mitchell has been ruled out due to injury and will be replaced by Afghanistan’s rising spin star, Noor Ahmad. The MLC 2024 season will begin from July 6, just a week after the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024.
Another league adds to Noor Ahmad’s resume!
Stepping into the breach for Texas is the exciting young talent, Noor Ahmad. Despite his young age of 19, Ahmad already boasts experience playing for Afghanistan’s and has impressed in various franchise leagues like the SA20, ILT20, and even the IPL for the Gujarat Titans (GT). Only recently, Noor was also picked up by St Lucia for the upcoming CPL 2024 season. The left-arm wrist spinner is currently part of the Afghan team that has reached the Super 8 stage of the ongoing T20 World Cup, and will even be featuring in tonight’s crucial clash against India.
