1100 days: Life comes full cycle as Christian Eriksen scores in Euro after suffering heart attack

Chrsitian Eriksen scores for Denmark after 1100 days in Euro since suffering fateful heart attack in Euro 2021

Life has come a full cycle for Denmark’s ace midfielder Christian Eriksen. The Danish midfield maestro collapsed in the field after suffering a heart attack in Euro 2021. And now after 1100 days, he opened his nations scoring in UEFA Euro 2024 in the Slovenia vs Denmark clash.

1100 Days – Eriksen rises as a phoenix

Christian Eriksen plays his first match for Denmark in UEFA Euro after a span of 3 years. Back in 2021, in the Denmark vs Finaland clash in Copenhaven, the midfielder fell on the pitch. He was eventually hospitalised after given CPR on the field.

And now, Eriksen found his way back into the Danish squad. The 32-year-old Manchester United midfielder went on to open the scoring for the Danes, 17th minute into the game.

Eriksen underwent a heart surgery in 2022 before making a return to football. He joined Brentford following which he moved to Manchester United.

And now after a span of 1100 days, like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Eriksen has scored for his nation at the UEFA Euro 2024. After a sublime lay off from Jonas Wind, the midfielder unleashed a thunderbolt to put the ball back into the net.
