Second Round Loss
Despite a promising start, the Indian team, seeded fifth, were knocked out in the round of 16. After taking an early 3-1 lead against Ukraine, they stumbled in the following sets to fall 5-3 to the 12th seeds.

Paris Olympic quotas up for grabs
Only teams reaching the semi-finals of the women’s recurve team event secured a coveted quota for their nation. While India missed out, they will have another opportunity for individual quotas in the women’s competition on Sunday.
Hope remains through World Rankings
India, currently ranked eighth in the world for women’s teams, still has a chance to qualify through the world rankings.
The top two teams per gender, as of June 24th, who haven’t secured a quota through other means, will qualify for the Paris Games.
