Batting woes for ace batters

Both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma yet again faltered with the bat. Rishabh Pant too managed to score just 18 runs before being bowled out by Ali Khan. But Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube played some crucial knocks as India secure a 7-wicket win.

Captain Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 3 runs. Ahead of him, ace batter Virat Kohli was dispatched for a Golden Duck. And now in 3 games, Kohli has just 5 runs under his belt.

But the Men in Blue overcame all odds as the rest of the batters played very well. Suryakumar Yadav absorbed all the pressure to register an unbeaten fifty. Shivam Dube’s unbeaten 31 runs also proved extremely valuable.

While the ace batters continue to have a poor time, it is however the bowlers who have shone brightly. Especially the pacers who have continued to shine brightly in a tricky pitch at the Nassau County Stadium. India managed to restrict USA for 110/8. With this win, India registered the highest successful chase at this ground
