Former France and Manchester United star Patrice Evra has tipped his country to be the favourites to lift UEFA Euro 2024. Evra has claimed that along with France, England too has a good chance of winning the European crown. The former French star however, is also keen in watching how the youngsters like Kobbie Mainoo and Rasmus Hojlund performs in the tournament.
Will N’Golo Kante get a chance?
The France team surprised everyone by bringing back ace midfielder N’Golo Kante back into the squad. Ever since his transfer to Saudi Arabia, Kante hasn’t been considered for the National Team. But the UEFA Euro is a major tournament, and with the likes of Paul Pogba missing, Kante had to be a part of the squad.
“You know, even if he went in Saudi’s level, he’s still up. He was injured for a long time. That’s why, Didier Deschamps didn’t select him, but he’s back in the team. And Didier Deschamps always says N’Golo Kante, when he’s on the team, the the French team is even better,” Patrice Evra said.
“N’Golo Kante, is is someone really important for the French national team, and I won’t be surprised if we will play more game even than cam Camavinga or Tchouameni,” Evra added.
England’s chance in Euro 2024
Like others, Evra has also put his trust on Gareth Southgate’s England Team. He claimed that the Three Lions have a very good squad with immense talent.
“England have an amazing squad. They have a great midfield. I I love, Jude Bellingham. They can they can make the difference. We can talk also about Marcus Rashford not being in the squad. But when the manager pick his teams, everyone have to be behind it,” Evra claimed.

The UEFA Euro 2024 will see the likes of many youngsters making their mark on the game. Be it Germany’s Florian Wirtz or England’s Kobbie Mainoo or Denmark’s young striker Rasmus Hojlund. Evra claimed that age doesn’t matter in such a big tournament. These players will surely perform well.
