UEFA Euro 2024 Prize Money

UEFA Euro cup is back, and so is the anticipation of many football fans. Lots of questions are there, but the most important one is how much is the Euro 2024 prize money?

The 17th edition of the UEFA European Football Championship. Popularly known as the Euros, is all set to kick off on 14 June as the three-time champion hosts Germany take on Scotland in the opening fixture. Europe’s most prestigious tournament always promises extraordinary matches, moments. But, most importantly, the players such as Kylian Mbappé, Harry Kane, Nicolo Barella, and many more who will face off in this exciting tournament.

How much is Euro 2024 prize money?

The total prize pot for Euro 2024 is €331 million, which is, interestingly, the same amount as in Euro 2020. This huge amount is distributed among the 24 participating teams based on their performance throughout the tournament.

Prize money elaboration

Now, looking at the breakdown, it becomes clear that if the teams win their three group stage matches. They will get 1 million euros for each game, which means they can stretch it up to 3 million euros. On the other hand, if they qualify for the round of 16, this 1 million is notched up to 1.5 million euros for each game. And if they win their semifinal match, a huge sum of €4 million will be awarded. For the final match, they will receive €8 million.
