India are in good spirits following a flying start to the T20 World Cup 2024 campaign. The Indian players on Wednesday underwent a fun fielding drill where 15 players formed three teams of 5 each and took aims at various targets ranging from water-bottles to football.
The drill was carried out under Indian fielding coach T Dilip’s supervision. 15 members of the Indian squad were divided into 3 teams consisting of 5 players.
Team Rohit vs Team Virat
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were pitted against each other in the challenge. One team had Rohit Sharma, Axar Patel, Rishabh Pant, Kuldeep Yadav and Mohammed Siraj. The second team consisted of Ravindra Jadeja, Suryakumar Yadav, Sanju Samson, Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah. The third team was made up of Virat Kohli, Yuzvendra Chahal, Shivam Dube, Hardik Pandya and Yashasvi Jaiswal.

The players were given 15 balls to aim at various objects. Each object were assigned different points. The smallest one, the water-bottle had 5 points assigned to it while the bigger stump had 2 points and such.
Team Virat pips others
In the end, it was Virat Kohli’s team that had the last laugh over other things. The players of the team were captured celebrating jubilantly as the members of the other two teams looked on.
The drill was a testimony to the easy going atmosphere that the Indian team possesses inside the dressing room, carrying out their drills with utmost seriousness while having fun as well.
