Chahal TV returns in New York! Indian spinner talks strategy with Axar Patel, Rishabh Pant, Md Siraj

Chahal, who is known for his witty personality, asked about the mindset of the players in a chat filled with laughter and banter.

With Yuzvendra Chahal hosting the Indian players who shone in the thrilling victory in the IND vs PAK match in T20 World Cup 2024, Chahal TV returned, this time in New York. Chahal interacted with Mohammed Siraj, Rishabh Pant, and Axar Patel. Chahal, who is known for his witty personality asked about the performances of the players in a chat filled with laughter and banter.

Plan was to bowl outside Imad Wasim’s zone: Axar Patel

Axar was questioned concerning the pivotal over against Wasim during a lighthearted and enjoyable conversation.

The plan was to not bowl in his range, as it was windy, so I didn’t want him to hit six in the mid-wicket. That’s why I spoke to the Captain & told him that I need a point so that I can put it in the cut because the shot is also very difficult, it’s okay if it’s hit, otherwise it was very difficult. That’s why I tried that,” Axar said in the video posted by the BCCI on their social media handle.

I was only trying to hit with a positive mindset: Rishabh Pant

After hitting 42 runs off of 31 balls against Pakistan, Rishabh Pant discussed his important partnership with Axar. Axar was put to bat at number 4 spot following the Indian openers’ early wickets, and he and Pant shared a crucial 39-run stand.

There was nothing in my mind as such. Was just trying to hit with a positive mindset and keep it simple. The India-Pakistan match is always packed with pressure. When Baapu (Axar) came, he practiced at 3-4th position in IPL. So when your mate comes in you get comfortable, as we were getting comfortable without thinking about anything,” Pant said.

Worked hard on my batting skills: Md Siraj

Siraj received praise from his teammates for his important seven-run haul, and the bowler mentioned that he put a lot of effort into honing his batting technique.

I practiced a lot in the nets even during the IPL. The runs from tailenders prove to be really crucial. In the end, we got to know how crucial my runs were, so I am really happy that we won,” Siraj said.
